3 Responses to Jesus
Who is Jesus? He is the Messiah King who challenges our culture’s self-determined individualism by calling us to unconditional allegiance. In Matthew 2, we see three responses to Jesus: indifference from religious leaders who had knowledge without relationship, hostility from Herod who saw Jesus as a threat to his power, and worship from the magi who traveled 900 miles to honor Him. The good news about Jesus is for everyone, not just religious insiders. There are only two ways to live: for yourself or for Jesus. Embracing Him as King means submitting to His loving leadership and rejecting cultural voices that lead us astray.
