For Us and Our Salvation
For Us and Our Salvation
Scripture: Hebrews 2:5-18
God’s original design for humanity was one of glory, honor, and dominion over creation. Sin shattered that design, leaving us ruled by the very things we were meant to govern, and ultimately subject to death and judgment. But God did not leave us there. Through Hebrews 2, we see three powerful ways Jesus restores what was lost: He assumed our humanity, coming down to us rather than waiting for us to climb up to Him. He defeated death by dying in our place as our substitute, satisfying God’s righteous judgment against sin. And He continues to walk with us today as our merciful High Priest, helping us in every moment of temptation and weakness. Because of Jesus, death is no longer a doorway to condemnation but an entrance into His presence.
