Jesus Fulfilled God’s Law
Scripture: Matthew 5:17-20
Many people struggle with feeling like they don’t measure up, experiencing imposter syndrome in their relationship with God. In Matthew 5:17-20, Jesus clarifies that He didn’t come to abolish God’s law but to fulfill it perfectly. This means Jesus kept God’s law flawlessly and serves as the authoritative interpreter of its true meaning. His perfect obedience is incredibly good news because it frees us from trying to earn God’s acceptance through our own efforts. Instead of building a resume before God, we receive righteousness as a gift through faith in Jesus. True righteousness that exceeds even the Pharisees comes not from trying harder, but from resting in Christ and being transformed by His Spirit from the inside out.
