United to Christ
Scripture: Ephesians 1:3-14
Union with Christ is the intimate, vital connection between Jesus and believers that serves as the foundation of our identity and purpose. Through this union, we receive three key blessings: adoption into God’s family, redemption from sin, and the seal of the Holy Spirit guaranteeing our inheritance. This union begins when we hear the gospel, believe in Christ, and receive the Holy Spirit. Living from our identity in Christ enables us to experience freedom from sin’s power, find purpose that transcends life’s seasons, and connect meaningfully with God’s family.
