The Mission of God and the New Creation
Scripture: Genesis 1:1, Genesis 1:31, Genesis 3, Revelation 21:1-8, Psalm 138:1-3, 1 Thessalonians 3:12
The Bible reveals God’s ultimate plan to unite heaven and earth in a new creation where suffering, death, and pain no longer exist. In Revelation 21, John sees a vision of the New Jerusalem coming down from heaven, where God will dwell permanently with His people in glorified bodies. This future hope should motivate believers to persevere faithfully in following Jesus today. God offers living water freely to all who are spiritually thirsty, calling both believers to endurance and unbelievers to faith. Until Christ returns, our mission is to share this good news and invite others to drink from the source of eternal life.
