Kingdom Influence
Scripture: Matthew 5:13-16, Psalm 112, John 10:28, Ephesians 5:8, John 8:12, Isaiah 49:6, John 1:6-8
Jesus calls believers to be salt and light in the world, serving as agents of transformation rather than blending in with culture. As salt, Christians must remain distinct from the world to maintain their preserving influence, avoiding the contamination that comes from conforming to worldly values. As light, believers are called to visibly reflect Christ’s light to those in darkness, pointing others to God’s glory through both words and actions. This identity isn’t based on performance but on Christ’s work, and when we recognize areas of compromise, we can run to Jesus for restoration. The key is living distinctly and visibly for Christ, becoming irresistibly attractive to a world hungry for authenticity and hope.
