Scripture: Matthew 7:1-6

Jesus’ teaching in Matthew 7:1-6 addresses the difference between destructive judgmental criticism and wise discernment. The problem isn’t making necessary judgments, but developing a critical spirit that tears others down. Jesus uses the illustration of specks and logs to show how we often see others’ faults clearly while being blind to our own. When we truly experience God’s grace and remember how much we’ve been forgiven, it transforms our perspective on both ourselves and others. This grace helps us see fellow believers as family members deserving love rather than criticism. The world needs Christians who create safe environments of grace where people can encounter Jesus through our transformed lives.
