False Hope and The Gospel
Scripture: Genesis 11:1-9
We live in a world of rapid technological change, and the ancient story of the Tower of Babel speaks directly into it. The people of Babel were not simply ambitious builders. They were insecure people, shaped by sin, trying to make a name for themselves and displace God in the process. The same impulse shows up today in how we consume information, optimize our lives, and look to technology for security and significance. God is not threatened by AI or any human achievement. He is a concerned Father watching His children head toward destruction when they try to sit in His seat. The answer to our technological anxieties is not better tools or smarter systems. It is Jesus Christ, who reversed the curse of Babel and invites us to stop striving for our own glory and start walking with Him.
