Walking in the Way of the Kingdom
Scripture: Matthew 5:43-48
Jesus calls us to love our enemies, moving beyond the natural human tendency to love only those who love us back. This isn’t about removing all boundaries or forcing relationships, but about cultivating a genuine desire for others’ well-being through prayer and faith. The key insight is that kingdom living isn’t achieved through willpower or moral effort, but received through faith-driven action. We can love our enemies because God first loved us when we were His enemies. This radical love distinguishes us from the world and reflects our Heavenly Father’s character, who shows kindness to both the righteous and unrighteous.
